Job summary

Preferred Therapy Solutions, LLC is hiring a Rehab Tech at our Melville, NY location for part-time hours (25 hours/AM preferred). The role supports rehab staff with patient care, transports patients for therapy, prepares patients for sessions, and assists with equipment modification.

Strong communication and attendance are essential. Qualifications include CNA certification (or enrollment in a therapy program), completion of our competency, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or enrollment in a therapy program.
• Completion of Preferred Therapy Solutions Competency.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrate concise oral and written communication with rehab staff, facility staff, patients, and families.
• Demonstrate regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assists with specific treatment activities assigned by the treating therapist.
• Transports patients to and from rehabilitation dept. for scheduled treatment and assist with transfers.
• Prepares patient for therapy as directed by supervising therapist.
• Helps modify patient equipment (wheelchairs, splints) as necessary.
• Reports patient response to treatment and changes in medical status to supervising therapist immediately.
• Assists with computer data entry and generates reports as requested.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation of direct, indirect time, payroll, efficiency and clinical reporting.
• Adheres to HIPAA and OSHA standards.
