Job summary
Alta Rancho Pet Hospital in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking a Part-Time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. The RVT will provide nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, lab work, and dental procedures in a busy small-animal practice.
California RVT license or eligibility to transfer within 3 months is required, AVMA-accredited program preferred but not required. We offer a referral program, opportunities for career development, and AmeriVet CE programs at no cost.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a technician or assistant.
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in California or eligible to transfer within 3 months.
- AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment and animal handling/restraint.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; team oriented.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a hospital setting and assist in patient management.
- Perform IV catheter placement, dental procedures, and radiographs as needed.
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures and post-operative care.
- Assist with cytology, laboratory tests, and radiology imaging.
- Assist in various duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowed by law.
