Job summary

Chapel Hill seeks a part-time registered dietitian to join our team and oversee the nutritional care of residents.

The RD will assess needs from history, labs, and physician diagnoses, participate in meal rounds and family/staff interviews, and help with menu development and standardized recipes with therapeutic modifications.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or related field and a MD-licensed RD; LTC/SNF experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, or similar field.
• Registered Dietitian (MD) license is required in MD.
• LTC/SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses nutritional needs of residents from diet history, laboratory reports, physician diagnosis, and information from meal rounds and interviews with residents, families, and staff.
• Monitors and participates in resident care plan meetings. Documents appropriate dietary interventions.
• Assist with development of menus and writing of standardized recipes with therapeutic modifications.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, or similar field
