Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join the team at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, LA. The role involves assessing nutritional needs of patients, initiating interventions, and contributing to quality of life goals.

The position offers 16-20 hours per week with 1-1.5 on-site days and 1 remote day. As part of the Cura team, you will provide nutrition education to residents and staff, comply with dietetics standards, and support interdepartmental

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024).
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experiencedPart-Time Registered Dietitianto our Cura Hospitality team inNatchitoches, LA. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.*This position will be scheduled 16-20 hours per week, 1 - 1 1/2 days on-site and 1 day remote, covering the NRMC location and the connected Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing Home.*
