Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare team at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in LA. The role involves assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and improving residents’ wellbeing while aligning with patient goals.

The position requires a nutrition degree, RD/CDR credentials or eligibility, and ongoing education. It features a hybrid schedule with on-site and remote components and a compensation range of $30.00–$35.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.
• Nice-to-haves: Healthcare or long-term care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced

Part-Time Registered Dietitian

to our healthcare team in

Natchitoches, LA . As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.

*This position will be scheduled 16-20 hours per week, 1 - 1 1/2 days on-site and 1 day remote, covering the NRMC location and the connected Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing Home.*

What you'll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.
• Nice-to-haves:Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.
