Job summary

Cura-Hospitality seeks a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare team at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. The role combines on-site and remote work, averaging 16-20 hours weekly with 1-1.5 days on-site and 1 day remote, covering NRMC and Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing Home.

You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and collaborate with the care team to support residents' quality of life aligned with goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced

Part-Time Registered Dietitian

to our healthcare team in

Natchitoches, LA . As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.

*This position will be scheduled 16-20 hours per week, 1 - 1 1/2 days on-site and 1 day remote, covering the NRMC location and the connected Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing Home.*
