Job summary

Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Center in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to provide evidence-based nutritional care for both inpatient and outpatient populations.

Starting at $35 per hour with a minimum of 16 hours per week and growth potential to 24 hours, you will perform assessments, educate patients and staff, document goals in the medical record, and support regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed per state regulations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments and interventions for inpatient and outpatient care.
• Educate patients, families, nursing, food service, and staff on nutrition.
• Document assessments and goals in the medical record.
• Communicate nutritional status with physicians and clinical staff.
• Manage orders for therapeutic diets and supplements.
• Attend rounds and maintain clinical nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance.

Part-Time Registered Dietitian at Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Center in Suffolk, VA

Starting rate $35/hr (Negotiable based on experience)

Minimum of 16 hrs/wk (Growth potential to 24 hours)

Complete nutritional assessments and provide interventions using evidence-based practices for both inpatient and outpatient care

Provide education to patients, families, nursing, food service, and other facility staff on nutritional needs

Document assessment of patients with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record

Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’ nutritional status

Manage physician orders for therapeutic diets and supplements

Attend patient rounds and maintain clinical nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance
