Cura Hospitality in Parsons, KS is seeking an experienced Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian to join our team at Parsons Presbyterian Manor. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and support residents' quality of life.

This role offers a flexible 9-hour weekly schedule, works onsite, and provides opportunities to educate staff and contribute to quality improvement in dining services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field (prior to 2024).
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination by the CDR or meets eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments and care planning.
• Ability to educate others on nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate residents and staff.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility requirements.
• Collaborate with departments to set up procedures relating to dining and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of quality improvement programs.

The Role At a Glance

We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian to our Cura Hospitality team in Parsons, KS. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. * This position will be scheduled 9 hours per week (flexible on day(s) worked during the week) *

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

Must-haves

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range

• $33.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience
