Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team near West Monroe, LA. The role involves assessing nutritional needs, planning interventions, and improving quality of life for patients/residents at Franklin Medical Center and Richardson Medical Center.

The position is scheduled for 8–12 hours per week, onsite at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro, LA and Richardson Medical Center in Rayville, LA, with opportunities to contribute to nutrition education

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Registered Dietitian to our healthcare team near West Monroe, LA . As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. *** This position will be scheduled 8 – 12 hours per week, supporting Franklin Medical Center and Richardson Medical Center. ***

What you’ll be doing:
