Rockland Trust is hiring a Teller Trainee to be at the heart of our branches, delivering personalized service while building relationships with customers. You’ll learn banking products, handle transactions, and support branch goals in a collaborative environment.

You’ll work with a friendly team, gain customer‑facing experience, and advance through Rockland Trust’s Teller Training program, contributing to a positive, customer‑centric culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using technology, including computers, to facilitate business goals.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering the branch and guide them to the right colleague.
• Provide constant customer support with efficient, courteous service in person and by phone.
• Inform customers about Rockland Trust banking products suited to their needs.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash checks, and other transactions accurately.
• Make decisions alongside supervisor as knowledge grows.
• Collaborate with training and branch teams to complete Teller Training.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

What You’ll Do

• Make the first impression to our customers as they enter the branch, warmly greeting them and guiding them to the colleague who can best support their needs.
• Engage in constant customer support, exhibiting efficient, effective, and courteous customer service in person and via telephone.
• Serve customers by supplying them with information on the Rockland Trust banking products best suited to their individual needs.
• Ensure that customers feel cared for as you perform duties that require a high level of accuracy, such as processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash checking, and other financial transactions.
• Make decisions alongside immediate supervisor, which may become more extensive as position gains in knowledge and experience.
• Work closely with our training team and your branch team to learn about these responsibilities, and to complete Rockland Trust’s Teller Training.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing and continuous customer support.

• Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate.
• Ability to successfully complete all required onboarding, job‑specific, compliance, regulatory, operational, and continuing education training programs within established timeframes.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Candidates should have 1‑2 years prior teller experience or cash handling/customer service skills.
