Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking a recurrent transplant surgeon to provide coverage for a new program serving West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. Initially focused on kidney transplants, the role aims to build a regional center of excellence and collaborate with the transplant nephrology team.

The position is part-time, based in Lubbock, with compensation commensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent is required.
• USMLE Step 3 completed is required.
• Board certified or eligible in Surgery is required.
• Completion of an American Society of Transplant Surgeons‑accredited Fellowship in transplantation is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, perform operations and manages care of patients donating and receiving kidney transplants.
• Participates in multidisciplinary collaboration with nephrology, nursing, social workers, etc.
