Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a Recycling Associate to help maintain a clean and safe warehouse by collecting waste, sorting recyclables, and operating a baler. You will contribute to efficient warehouse operations and support team goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include a High School diploma and 1 year of warehouse experience; strong time management and teamwork are essential. Competitive benefits and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect waste and sort into designated containers (cardboard, plastic, foam).
• Operate a baler to compact recyclable materials into dense blocks.
• Move blocks of material using provided equipment.
• Uphold company core values in daily duties.
• Attend departmental meetings and assist with training as needed.
• Follow OSHA and company safety rules.

Job description

The Recycling department assists the warehouse in maintaining a clutter-free environment. The recycling team is responsible for removing trash, cardboard, and foam materials to help ensure that the workspace remains organized and safe. By eliminating these items, the Recycling department contributes to the overall cleanliness and efficiency of the warehouse operations. Their efforts help create a pleasant and productive working environment for all members of the team.

Primary Job Functions

This section describes the primary /essential responsibilities that this job performs.

• Collecting the waste materials from various areas of the warehouse and sorting them into designated containers based on the type of material such as cardboard, plastic, and foam
• Operating a baler to compact and bundle recyclable materials such as cardboard and plastic into dense and manageable blocks
• Operate PIV to move blocks of material Sit down
• Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.

Secondary Job Functions

• Maintain reliable attendance.
• Actively participate in departmental meetings, training and education. Assist with training other employees and providing backup.
