Job summary

Advanced Recovery Systems, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Recreational Therapist to support patients in our behavioral health programs. The role involves planning and directing recreation therapy groups, with sessions scheduled 1pm-7pm on Monday, Friday, and Saturday, with a fourth day your preference.

You will work within PHP and IOP levels of care, coordinate activities, document progress, and collaborate with the treatment team to enhance recovery and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; postsecondary education preferred.
• National or state certification in recreation therapy required.
• CPR and Standard First Aid certification required.
• Minimum of one year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate recreation therapy groups and document session notes within 24 hours.
• Create evidence-based content for recreation therapy curriculum.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure group attendance and participation.
• Coordinate and facilitate community-based activities for PHP and IOP levels of care.
• Prepare reports reflecting patient progress and communicate with treatment team.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
