Job summary

River Vista Behavioral Health is seeking a Certified Recreation/Activity Therapist (CTRS) to join the Social Services Team. The therapist will plan and implement activity services, contribute to treatment goals as part of the interdisciplinary team, and provide ongoing patient care, observation, and role modeling to patients across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Art, Music, or Recreation therapy, humanities, social work or related therapeutic discipline.
• One (1) year of related experience with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness.
• Certification or licensure as CTRS is required.
• Successful CPR Certification and Handle with Care training; may be obtained during new hire orientation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activity services for the assigned program.
• Define and implement treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.
