Job summary

Community Living, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join the Recreation Services program, assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through engaging activities.

You will work directly with persons served, maintain a safe, inclusive environment on-site and in the community, and complete daily documentation related to activities. This part-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong oral and written communication and decision‑making skills.
• Good listening and comprehension with leadership abilities.
• Ability to document clearly in writing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Team player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the safety and welfare of all persons served.
• Assists in leading and facilitating activities and events for persons served, both on-site and in the community.
• Creates and maintains an engaging and inclusive environment for all members.
• Assists persons served with hygiene, physical, and mobility needs as necessary.
• Conducts vehicle checks prior to use and safely transports persons served to and from Adult Recreation events.
• Completes all documentation related to persons served activities on a daily basis.
• Promotes and maintains a positive relationship between the Adult Recreation program and its persons served, families, employees, and volunteers.
• Completes and maintains all required trainings.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned.
