Job summary

Layton City Recreation is seeking individuals to assist with a variety of entry and mid-level duties coordinating day-to-day operations of city recreation programs.

Responsibilities include officiating, scoring, and supervising activities such as baseball, softball, basketball and flag football, while maintaining safety and providing information to the public. Training will be provided to become a certified official and scorekeeper, and evening programs may run until 10:00 PM or later.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must attend and pass training class to become a certified official and scorekeeper.
• Ability to work as a scorekeeper, official/umpire, or teacher at a variety of programs.
• Ability to work evening programs that may run until 10:00PM or later.

• Performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Sufficient education and training to demonstrate an aptitude or ability to perform above and related duties. Must attend and pass training class to become a certified official and scorekeeper.
