Job summary

Township of Montville seeks a temporary Recreation Director to lead and manage the Recreation Department. The role is approximately two days per week, with evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation management or related field required.
• Minimum five years supervisory experience in recreation programming.
• Experience in grants writing and management of trust funds required.
• Knowledge of NJ purchasing laws and budgeting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, schedule and promote recreation programs.
• Coordinate facilities with the Board of Education and other departments.
• Prepare monthly reports and attend Recreation Commission meetings.
• Engage in grant seeking, writing and administration activities.
