Job summary

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department is seeking a Part-Time Recreation Assistant to support programming and events at West Charlotte Recreation Center. The role involves daytime hours with potential evenings and weekends, handling registrations, customer service, and center operations.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; CPR/First Aid is preferred and a valid NC or SC driver’s license is advantageous. Basic computer skills with MS Office are expected.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and handle information, program registrations, and center usage.
• Ensure safety of participants and administer first aid when necessary.
• Enforce rules and collect fees for programs and facility rentals.
• Assist with maintenance of facilities and recreational areas.
• Referee or timekeeper at games as needed.
