Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago is seeking a part-time Tutor in the Reading Center at Truman College to provide academic support to students. The ideal candidate will assist in developing critical thinking and reading skills in both individual and group settings.

Responsibilities include maintaining student records, scheduling, and offering evaluations. Applicants must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree and have availability during mornings and late afternoons, including Fridays and Saturdays. The pay ranges from $17.48 to $24.59 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a relevant field.
• Experience with embedded tutoring or classroom support is preferred.
• Must have availability in the mornings/afternoons, especially Fridays and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Provides academic assistance individually or in groups.
• Maintains records on each student being tutored.
• Schedules tutoring appointments and provides evaluations.
