Job summary

Brentwood-Nursing-Home-and-Rehabilitation-Facility in Rhode Island is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian (RD) with Long-Term Care experience to provide quality nutrition care to residents and positively impact their health in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include initial nutrition assessments, care plans, MDS, overseeing the dietary department, menu planning, and developing therapeutic diets; strong regulatory knowledge and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Current RD/RDN credential.
• LTC or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MDS assessments and regulatory requirements for dietary services in LTC.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial nutrition assessments, care plans, and MDS as part of care planning.
• Attend weekly risk meetings and monitor residents for weight loss or other nutrition-related concerns.
• Oversee the dietary department to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Provide input into menu planning and develop therapeutic diets tailored to individual needs.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Ensure adherence to nutrition standards and best practices in a long-term care setting.
