Job summary

Pima County is seeking two part-time Rangemaster team members for six shooting ranges. The role involves supervising daily range operations, enforcing safety rules, and conducting safety classes to the public. Cash handling and basic reporting are part of the duties.

Preferred candidates have NRA Range Safety Officer certification, First Aid/CPR, and experience with firearms/archery instruction and public service. This is a part-time intermittent position in Tucson, AZ.

Qualifications

• One year of handling rifles/handguns and/or archery equipment or range supervision.
• Experience coordinating shooting/archery events or safety instruction.
• National Rifle Association Range Safety Officer certification required within one year.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operation of the range and supervise staff.
• Enforce firearms safety rules and report safety violations.
• Conduct firearms/archery safety classes for participants.
• Handle cash for range items and maintain financial records.
• Provide First Aid/CPR/AED if certified, as needed.
• Train and supervise volunteers in safety and customer service.
• Keep facilities and equipment safe, secure, and well maintained.
