Job summary

The City of Dodge City, KS is seeking a part-time Train Station Attendant to greet arriving and departing Amtrak passengers and represent the city in a friendly, helpful manner. Hours vary with train schedules, and shifts may start as early as 3:30 AM or run to 11:30 PM daily.

Position includes preparing coffee, light cleaning, snow and ice melt duties in winter, and light clerical tasks as needed. At times, employees stay beyond scheduled hours to accommodate late trains.

Qualifications

• Experience in greeting the public and handling inquiries.
• Ability to perform light clerical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet passengers and the public at the Amtrak Train Station.
• Prepare and serve coffee and maintain cleanliness of the station.
• Perform light custodial duties including snow clearance and ice melt placement.
• Ensure station and restrooms are clean before shifts; may assist with clerical tasks.
