Job description

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00pm-12:00am, on call every other weekend
Pay Range: $28.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience.

Role:

Provide mobile X-Ray and EKG (if applicable) services to nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other miscellaneous facilities.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Perform and process X-Rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment and submit/transmit them to a Radiologist for interpretation.
2. Unload portable X-Ray equipment and take into facilities to perform exams ordered by the physician. Must obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent x-ray images.
3. Perform EKGs (as needed) and transmit them to a Cardiologist for interpretation (if required).
4. Scan exam-related paperwork/billing documents daily per protocol.
5. Communicate regularly with dispatch and management.
6. Maintain vehicle and X-ray equipment.
7. Communicate professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.

Required Skills:

1. Maintain required State licenses and/or ARRT Certification, health, and operational requirements.
2. Valid driver's license in the applicable state, in good standing at all times.
3. Attend required meetings.
4. Connect and disconnect Holter Monitors (if required).
5. Care for equipment professionally; report malfunctions immediately.
6. Perform special projects or duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
7. Train other technologists as required.
8. Be self-motivated, dependable, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Login for self-dispatching or call dispatch to obtain case information.
• Arrive at the first case or pick up location at shift start or leave home 30 minutes prior.
• Wear company uniform, name tag, and radiation badge; follow dress code.
• Carry company-provided phone.
• Respond to urgent communication within 15 minutes.
• Check voicemail/text messages every 30 minutes or as necessary.
• Verify exam orders against patient charts; ensure correct patient identification with two identifiers.
• Ensure correct patient images before sending to telerad.
• Practice radiation safety at all times.
• Follow company policies on conduct, substance use, and vehicle operation.
• Maintain accurate timesheet records.
• Maintain and care for company vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure valid driver’s license and provide copies as needed.
• Complete required physical exams and TB screenings annually, submitting documentation within two weeks.
• Support patient transfers and positioning only when required; avoid engaging in transfers unless trained.
