Job summary

Genesys Regional Medical Center is seeking a Part Time Radiologic Technologist to operate radiographic equipment and deliver diagnostic images. The role requires patient interaction, adherence to safety rules, and cooperation with radiologists and staff.

The position includes a 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift, rotating weekends and some holidays, with benefits eligibility. Training and supervision support are provided to maintain quality care across hospital units.

Qualifications

• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have completed an accredited 2-year radiology program.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire; ARRt/ARCRT radiography credential within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality radiographs by selecting technical factors and proper positioning.
• Obtain portable radiographs in nursing units, ORs, and EDs as requested by radiologist.
• Identify patients correctly and document procedures in HIS/Network systems.
• Maintain radiation protection and minimize exposure.
• Stay current with developments through journals and in-services.
• Assist in training radiology staff and students.
• Provide technical resources to residents and radiologists.
• Report equipment malfunctions and maintain clean work areas.
