Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform radiology procedures safely and efficiently as ordered by physicians. You will maintain equipment, document patient testing information, and perform Dexa scans.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or two years of related experience.
• Valid state Radiologic Technologist license.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT.
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• Two years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable in PACS, MS Word and Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Stand or sit for extended periods; able to lift patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures in a manner to comply with state and federal regulations.
• Assists in maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies in the department.
• Maintains documentation of patient testing information.
• Performs Dexa scans.
• Completes other comparable duties as directed by the Radiology Manager.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Education

Associate’s degree in radiologic technology

Two (2) years of experience in a directly related area

Valid state Radiologic Technologist license

Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification

Two years of experience preferred

Knowledgeable in PACS, MS Word, Excel

Effective written and verbal communication

Stand or sit for extended periods

Able to lift and assist patients as needed
