Under minimal supervision, performs radiographic procedures, operating imaging equipment and handling designated areas or procedures requiring independent judgment. Responsibilities include processing imaging media, troubleshooting, performing basic nursing care, clerical tasks, ensuring patient rights, participating in performance improvement, supervising students, and promoting safety.
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred. NM Radiography Technologist (RRT) or temporary license required, with ARRT R.T.(R) certification preferred at hire, and a one-year period to obtain certification. Experience with EPIC electronic charting system is beneficial.
