Job summary

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak is seeking a Staff Physicist to join the Radiation Oncology department. The role focuses on clinical service, planning and quality assurance for radiotherapy, with opportunities in research and education.

You will collaborate with the Chief of Physics and Director of Clinical Physics, contribute to patient care, and participate in training residents and fellows. Part-time schedule: Day shift, 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in physics, medical physics or related field.
• Doctorate of Medical Physics or equivalent with AMP/NRC listing.
• 1 year of relevant experience; CAMPEP residency or 1–2 years in related field preferred.
• ABR CRT-Medical Physics or CRT-Therapeutic Medical Physics upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical service, planning and QA for radiotherapy in Radiation Oncology.
• Perform and review radiotherapy patient and equipment related planning.
• Engage in research/development and education/training as assigned.

Education

Master’s degree in physics/medical physics

Doctorate in Medical Physics

CAMPEP residency or 1–2 years’ experience

Authorized Medical Physicist (AMP) or ABR eligibility
