Job summary

Broward College in sunny South Florida invites applications for a part-time teaching position in North Business, Accounting and Paralegal Studies. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a mathematics- or analytics-related field and has 2+ years of experience; teaching experience is preferred and a high level of computer literacy is required.

All schedules require office hours, with potential evening or weekend hours.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Master’s Degree or declared concentration in Mathematics, Statistics, Research Methods, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics or Quantitative Analytics with 2+ years work experience.
Master’s Degree and 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics, Statistics, Research Methods, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Quantitative Analytics or Business-related subfield with 2+ years of work experience.
Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
High level of computer literacy and commitment to teaching.
All schedules require office hours, some may require evening and/or weekend hours.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate mastery of their discipline and commitment to Broward College mission.
Employ teaching methods to accommodate various levels of academic preparation and engage students with technology.
Facilitate needs of different learners with responsive pedagogical techniques.
Examine and adapt instructional practices to support students.
Engage in student consultation, course preparation, review of outlines, and syllabus preparation.
Provide prompt and constructive feedback to students and timely email responses.
Adhere to reporting deadlines (grades, enrollment verification, syllabi, textbook adoption).
Participate in service to the college and community.
