The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor‑UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles County is seeking a part-time Staff Research Associate to support a grant‑funded CBPR project examining frontline workers in community violence intervention.

Primary duties include literature reviews, interview logistics, qualitative data management, grounded theory analysis, and dissemination of findings, with 20 hours per week and a limited 24‑month appointment possible for extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Interest in CBPR and health equity.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with ethical research standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews related to community violence intervention and frontline work.
• Assist with preparation and organization of qualitative materials and IRB-related documentation.
• Conduct interviews with project Co- Principal Investigators and partners.
• Review, organize, and manage interview transcripts and field notes.
• Support qualitative data analysis using grounded theory methods.
• Utilize qualitative data analysis software to support coding and data organization.
• Participate in team discussions to identify emergent topics and saturation.
• Assist in preparing summaries for dissemination to HVIP staff and partners.
