Southern Health Partners is launching a new correctional healthcare program at Worth County Jail, Sylvester, GA 31791. We’re seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our team in a part-time role with 8 hours per week as the site launches.

With an hourly rate of $36.00–$40.00, the position offers flexible daytime hours and an opportunity to provide behavioral health assessments, counseling, and coordination within a secure correctional environment while helping establish the

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• GA licensure (Psych RN, LPC, or LCSW) in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Behavioral health experience.
• Strong assessment, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and with healthcare team.
• Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing behavioral health assessments and services.
• Identifying mental health needs and developing treatment recommendations.
• Providing individual counseling and supportive interventions.
• Monitoring patients for changes in mental health status.
• Collaborating with medical and behavioral health team members.
• Documenting assessments, services, and patient progress.

Southern Health Partners is launching a new correctional healthcare program at Worth County Jail, and we’re looking for a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our team.

This is a unique opportunity to provide meaningful behavioral health services in a structured, secure environment while helping establish a new SHP healthcare program from the ground up.

With a schedule of just 8 hours per week, this role can be an excellent fit for a mental health professional looking to make a difference while maintaining flexibility in their schedule.

What You’ll Do

• Providing behavioral health assessments and services
• Identifying mental health needs and developing appropriate treatment recommendations
• Providing individual counseling and supportive interventions
• Monitoring patients for changes in mental or behavioral health status
• Collaborating with medical and behavioral health team members
• Documenting assessments, services, and patient progress
• Assisting with continuity of behavioral healthcare
• Supporting patients with mental health needs within a safe and secure environment
• Helping establish effective behavioral health processes as part of a new site launch

Qualifications

• Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Professional Social Worker (LCSW)
• Current and unrestricted professional license in the state of Georgia
• Current CPR certification, as applicable to discipline
• Behavioral health or mental health experience
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the healthcare team

• Ability to work effectively within a secure correctional environment
