Job summary

Food Lion in Benson, NC is hiring a Store Associate to keep a clean, safe, and inviting place for customers. You will deliver fast, friendly service and help customers with a smile while following standard practices and safety guidelines.

Key duties include nightly cleaning, stocking and organizing departments, following QA checklists, maintaining safety standards, and reporting accidents. You will complete CBT training and perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and follow procedures.
• Ability to use information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer service with fast, friendly, and accurate assistance.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Sweep and clean floors on nights with no scheduled vendor services.
• Weekly cleaning of Produce, Market and Deli Departments.
• Clean and organize the store mop room.
• Follow QA daily checklists and sanitation standards.
• Follow current Practices regarding cleanup of Hazardous Waste product.
• Maintain understanding of company guidelines and safety procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions; report accidents per Food Lion policy.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform complete with name badge on duty.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
