Job summary

Mercor is seeking a part-time contract QA/SDET to review browser-based testing workflows for AI-generated web applications. The role focuses on ensuring testing approaches are robust, deterministic, and well-isolated across complex frontend scenarios.

You will assess feasibility of browser interactions, validate fixtures and setup, identify flaky tests and hidden dependencies, and provide structured technical feedback aligned with project rubrics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software QA, SDET, or test automation.
• Experience testing modern web apps and debugging complex issues.
• Knowledge of browser automation frameworks (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium).
• Ability to ensure deterministic test results and isolate fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Review browser-based testing workflows for AI-generated web applications.
• Assess feasibility and reliability of browser interactions.
• Validate test isolation, fixtures, setup, and execution flow.
• Ensure assertions produce deterministic pass/fail results.
