Job summary

The City of Anaheim Public Library seeks enthusiastic and dynamic Part Time Librarians to provide excellent public service in a team-oriented library system. The Part Time Librarian works under minimal supervision to perform journey level professional library duties in assigned areas, such as adult services, children's services, teen services, and outreach programs.

The ideal candidate will have an MLIS/MLS/MSLS degree and one year of professional librarian experience, with evening and weekend

Qualifications

• Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS), Master of Library Science (MLS), or Master of Science in Library Science (MSLS) from an accredited college or university.
• One year of experience as a professional librarian.
• Public library experience, strong technical skills, and programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide reference and readers advisory services to patrons of all ages.
• Develop and manage library programs in designated areas (adult, youth, teen, outreach).
• Supervise part-time staff and volunteers; assist with scheduling and training.
