Job summary

Rasmussen University is seeking a Part-Time Adjunct Instructor for Public Health Nursing at our Bloomington campus. The role involves teaching Nursing courses, student engagement, and using diverse teaching methods, with opportunities to work on campus or at off-site clinical partner locations.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Nursing, has RN licensure without encumbrances, CPR certification, and 1 year of clinical experience (2+ preferred). Training is provided for those new to teaching.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Documented experience in Public Health roles.
• 1-year clinical RN experience required, 2+ years preferred.
• Proof of active RN licensure that has never been encumbered.
• Official transcripts required for each degree earned from an accredited institution.
• Active CPR certification by AHA or Red Cross; immunization documentation required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Nursing program courses, including lecture, lab, and clinical practicum, on campus or at off-site clinical partner locations.
• Utilize effective teaching strategies and diverse learning methods to engage a broad student population.
• Foster student engagement through activities, community building, and live synchronous sessions.
