Job summary

Northeastern University’s Boston campus is seeking qualified part-time lecturers for the Department of Public Health and Health Sciences for the 26-27 academic year. The role involves delivering in-person (and online/hybrid) instruction, developing materials, and assessing student performance in assigned courses.

Candidates should hold a Masters in a relevant field; doctoral degrees and teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in an appropriate field.
• Doctoral degrees and teaching experience are preferred.
• CV/resume and a cover letter describing qualifications and Public Health/Health Sciences course you are prepared to teach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing syllabi, lectures, course materials, all examinations including a final exam, and evaluations of student performance in the course.
• Developing and implementing materials for lectures for in-person or online/hybrid courses.
• Holding office hours as appropriate.
• Engaging productively with teaching assistants.
• Collaborating on course revisions and improvements with department faculty and the University’s Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning through Research (CATLR).
