Job summary

Sandy City is seeking a part-time Custodian to support administrative facilities. Under supervision, you will perform custodial and facility support tasks to maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment for employees and the public.

The role involves using cleaning equipment, inspecting cords and attachments, following SDS guidelines, and assisting the Lead Custodian. Must work well independently or in a team and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety policies including SDS guidelines.
• Preferred one year custodial experience and ability to use automated cleaning equipment.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and facility support tasks to keep facilities clean and safe.
• Assist Lead Custodian and ensure safety of staff and the public.
• Inspect equipment cords, vacuum hoses, and attachments for proper function.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as carpet extractors, mop systems, and floor sweepers as needed.
• Properly dilute cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and minimize waste.
• Work well independently or as part of a team and communicate effectively.
