Job summary

Union Post Acute in Union, South Carolina is hiring a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. You’ll assist with implementing treatment plans and support mobility goals alongside licensed therapists.

You’ll work with a caring team in a small-town setting, helping residents regain independence and improve quality of life. A current PTA license and graduation from an accredited PTA program are required.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license in good standing in the state of operation.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Compassionate, patient-focused professional with strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training to improve strength, balance, coordination, and endurance.
• Help residents improve walking, transfers and daily activities.
• Monitor responses to treatment and report progress to supervising PT.
• Document treatments and resident progress accurately and timely.
• Educate residents and caregivers on safe mobility techniques and activities.
• Collaborate with nursing and rehab team to support positive outcomes.
• Provide compassionate, respectful care maintaining dignity and safety.
