Montgomery College in Maryland is accepting applications for possible openings as a part-time faculty member in the Physical Therapist Assistant program. We seek an enthusiastic, professional teacher with a commitment to students and the ability to motivate in an engaging way.

Responsibilities include delivering curricula, using Blackboard LMS, and supervising lab and clinical learning. Candidates should hold educator-ready licenses and be able to travel to clinical sites in the DC/MD/VA area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Physical Therapy field.
• Two years of clinical experience in physical therapy or PTA.
• Current Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Eligible to acquire Maryland/DC/Virginia license upon hire.
• Willing to travel within DC/MD/VA area to clinical sites.
• Commitment to inclusion and belonging in an educational environment.
• Access to a personal computer with internet; Montgomery College provides resources as needed.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned curriculum and conduct evaluations.
• Utilize Blackboard LMS for student contact and assignments.
• Facilitate student learning in lab, classroom, and clinical locations.
• Evaluate skill performance and provide timely feedback to students.
• Follow department guidelines to ensure consistent content across sections.
• Meet deadlines to submit mid-term and final grades.
• Set up equipment and return to storage as needed.
• Demonstrate and supervise clinical skills evaluations.
• Utilize clinical software and LMS in instruction.
• Conduct student evaluations at clinical affiliates.
