Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Charlotte seeks an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for part-time or per diem home health visits. As a PTA you will support adult and geriatric patients in their homes, providing treatments and education under a licensed Physical Therapist.

Candidates must hold NC PTA licensure, have completed a 2-year APTA-approved PTA program, and have at least one year of PTA experience with supervision from a PT.

Qualifications

• Have current licensure or certification in the state of North Carolina.
• Graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Have at least one year of work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted before December 31, 1977.
• Have at least one year’s work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment, tests, patient education and interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Perform home health visits for adult and geriatric patients.
• Ensure safety and infection prevention protocols.
