Job summary

STAR Physical Therapy, LLC is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to support patient care at Mt. Juliet South. The role involves assisting a Physical Therapist with therapeutic interventions, documenting progress, and communicating patient status to physicians.

The PTA will also educate patients on devices and home exercise programs. Qualified candidates are licensed as PTAs in Tennessee, graduate from CAPTE-accredited programs, and hold CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a PTA in the state of employment (TN).
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Current TN PTA license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to work autonomously in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic interventions for patients under supervision of a Physical Therapist, including modalities, exercises, gait training, and manual therapy.
• Record patient progress and response to treatment in medical charts.
• Report patient status to physicians and healthcare staff; measure ROM, strength, and vitals as needed.
• Instruct patients and families on assistive devices and home exercise techniques.
• Provide guidance to PTA students and technicians.
