The University of Southern Maine Psychology Department seeks a part-time instructor for the Spring 2027 semester, starting January 19, 2027. The position involves teaching 1–2 in-person sections of Abnormal Psychology (PSY 233), with potential to teach PSY 100 and an upper‑level elective.

The instructor will be responsible for full delivery and grading, course development, and assessing student performance, meeting with students as needed, using provided objectives and syllabi, and contributing

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling/Counselor Education or Clinical Psychology is required.
• At least one semester previous teaching experience in a psychology department is required.
• Statement of Teaching Philosophy is not required by highly encouraged.
