Job summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking a temporary, part-time adjunct to teach psychology courses. Appointments are made per semester based on budget, enrollment, and departmental needs.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduates, preparing and grading assessments, updating materials, coordinating class activities, and maintaining student records. A commitment to diverse NM communities and university goals is expected.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following: Master’s in Psychology or subfield; or Master’s in related field; or at least 18 graduate credits in the discipline.
• Preferred: two years of professional experience in the specialization or subfield.
• Earned doctorate from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Experience teaching in a post-secondary institution is preferred.
• Experience teaching using multiple modalities (Face-to-Face, Remote, Fully Online) is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to NM cultures and UNM mission to serve communities.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate psychology courses and facilitate learning.
• Prepare, administer, and grade assignments, quizzes, exams.
• Develop and update course materials and instructional content.
• Coordinate course activities including schedules and exams.
• Maintain accurate student records and submit grades on time.
