Job summary

Salt Lake Community College is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Psychology (PSY) classes. Under supervision, the adjunct instructor will teach various PSY classes offered by SLCC.

This is a pooled position with no guarantees; instructors are paid at $1,082.40 per instructional unit. Official transcripts are required for offers within 30 days of hire, and SLCC adheres to its policy on non-renewal of adjunct positions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology (or closely related field) from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Effectively prepare and teach classes following department and SLCC curricular requirements.
• Provide effective, meaningful and timely feedback to students on their coursework.
• Maintain records of student performance and attendance.
• Provide ADA accommodations as directly by SLCC Accessibility and Disability Services.
• Responds to student questions and concerns in a timely manner.
• Completes required training within the timeframe given by SLCC.
• Participates in department or school training as appropriate and when possible.
• Maintains professional etiquette in communications with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
