Job summary

The Pascua Yaqui Tribe is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services within behavioral health programs, including telemedicine for psychiatric and addiction services through New Beginnings Clinic. The role includes consultation for level of care criteria, review of screening information, and assessment of psychotropic drug efficacy within patient treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible Psychiatrist with experience treating adults, adolescents and children.
• Experience with psychiatric evaluation and medication management.
• Knowledge of tribal, state, and federal regulations relating to behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to Program Managers to identify level of care criteria.
• Develop, approve, and review psychiatric policies.
• Ensure staff receive in-service training on psychiatric care.
• Provide direct psychiatric services at least half time.
• Enter and maintain clinical notes in electronic charting system.
