Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is seeking a Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to serve as a Principal Investigator in a part-time, 1099 capacity within our community-based clinical research network.

The PI will lead sponsor-initiated psychiatric trials, including studies on anxiety and depression, alongside an experienced team. The ideal candidate has PI or Sub-Investigator experience on sponsor-initiated trials, current license, and BC/BE in Psychiatry.

Qualifications

• At least three sponsor-initiated trials as PI or Sub-I on file.
• Current, unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Psychiatry.
• In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP, FDA regulations, and relevant ethics.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage a clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Lead sponsor-initiated psychiatric trials at the site.
• Oversee and manage all aspects of trials, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Supervise sub-investigators and study staff.
• Delegate duties and provide training and oversight.
• Conduct remote review of patient assessments and enrollments.
• Review laboratory results and other diagnostics.
• Make medical decisions regarding participant care and protocol deviations.
• Ensure complete, accurate study data collection and documentation.
• Communicate with sponsors, CROs, IRBs, and regulators.
• Manage investigational product accountability and storage.
• Participate in site initiation, monitoring, audits, and inspections.
• Maintain ongoing medical education and stay current with field advances.
