Ellenhorn in Arlington, MA is seeking a part-time psychiatrist (20 hours per week) to join a multidisciplinary team. The role involves psychiatric assessments, medication management, and collaboration with nurses and the Clinical Director to support patients with severe mental illness.

The clinician will provide supervision, education, and treatment plan development, participate in regular peer meetings, and contribute to care coordination with other clinicians.

Formación

• Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry; Massachusetts license to practice medicine.
• Interest in multidisciplinary team-based care and community healthcare delivery.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and present assessments and formulations to the treatment team.
• Supervise the treatment team in comprehensive assessments of clients’ psychiatric and psychosocial history.
• Collaborate with nurses in assessing and monitoring medical issues and referrals to outside providers.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications; provide psycho-education to clients and families.
• Provide psycho-education, support, and counseling to clients’ families as part of the treatment plan.
• Participate in peer supervision and coordination meetings with doctors and nurses; coordinate care with other clinicians.
