Job summary

Merakey is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist to support its Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) in Harrisburg, PA and Carlisle, PA. The role provides on-site psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care for adults with behavioral health needs.

The clinician will deliver comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans with the team, prescribe medications, and maintain EHR documentation while promoting stabilization and recovery in a structured outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania license required.
• Board eligible or board certified in psychiatry.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration across disciplines.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proficient psychopharmacology knowledge for adults.
• Accurate documentation in electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses.
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans with the team.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications per policy.
• Provide crisis intervention and ongoing medication management.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation in the EHR and comply with standards.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and treatments.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with primary care and external providers for coordinated care.
