Job summary

Ascension Catholic Church is seeking a faith-filled and dedicated PSR (Parish School of Religion) Teacher to support the faith formation of children and youth within the parish. The PSR Teacher is responsible for creating a welcoming learning environment, teaching Catholic doctrine and traditions in accordance with Church teachings, and helping students grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Qualifications

• Ability to present Catholic teachings clearly and age-appropriately.
• Strong organization, classroom management, and communication.
• Commitment to faith formation and evangelization.
• Experience with parish program coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach PSR classes using approved curriculum and materials.
• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons on Catholic doctrine and prayer.
• Support sacramental preparation and parish faith-formation activities.
• Maintain attendance records and communicate with families.
• Collaborate with Director of Religious Education and volunteers.
