Job summary

Flemington Borough is seeking a part-time Property Maintenance Officer to support the code enforcement program. The role includes monitoring and enforcing ordinances under the International Property Maintenance Code, performing administrative duties, and responding to citizen complaints.

The officer will patrol, investigate violations, prepare documentation for legal actions, and may testify in hearings. A NJ driver’s license is required; bilingual is a plus but not necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass pre-employment background check.
• Must possess a valid NJ driver’s license.
• Bilingual is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical duties in support of the Borough's code enforcement program.
• Monitor and enforce applicable ordinances, codes and regulations, primarily in the International Property Maintenance Code.
• Prepare documentation and exhibits for legal actions; testify in court as required.
