Marine Solutions, Inc. in Virginia Beach, Virginia, seeks a part-time Project Engineer to support field inspections, material testing, and design under supervision. You will prepare technical documents and assist in evaluating structures to meet codes and internal standards.

A civil/structural/ocean engineering degree (B.E./M.E.) and an EIT or equivalent are required. The role requires 0–4 years of engineering experience, proficiency with CAE and office software, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in civil, structural or ocean engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• 0-4 years of engineering experience.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) is required.
• Valid US Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs field inspection and evaluation of structures under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
• Performs testing of materials and incorporates results into reports under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
• Performs complex engineering computations under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
• Prepares engineering documents including inspection reports, design plans, and specifications under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
• Participates in internal project meetings and works to resolve project issues.
• Promotes a safe work culture.
